Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett says his team's defense is the best to ever play football.

The Seahawks rank first in the league in yards per play allowed (4.7) and points per game allowed (16.5). Seattle has limited its last five opponents to 33 total points and an average of 193.6 total yards per game.

The Seahawks had several players on their defense selected to the 2015 Pro Bowl, including cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Earl Thomas. Bennett made his remarks following Sunday's 35-6 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

"We’re the best defense to ever play football," Bennett said. "So when we play the way we play, we’re capable of playing, I don’t think – whatever he did didn’t really matter. It’s just, when we line up and we line up and play the way we’re capable of playing, I don’t think anybody can play with us."

The Seahawks host the Rams (6-9) to close the regular season on Sunday. With a win, Seattle will clinch the NFC West title and is likely to earn the No. 1 playoff seed.
