Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington is expected to play Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, reports ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Ellington sprained his PCL on a non-contact play during the Cardinals' home opener over the New Orleans Saints. The running back was expected to be out two to three weeks.

Before exiting the game early in Week 1, Ellington had 12 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown.

Last season, Ellington led the Cardinals in rushing with 660 yards, while playing in only 12 games due to a hip injury.

The Cardinals' Week 4 game against the Rams will be at home.
