NFL Odds: Previewing Giants vs. Eagles on Monday Night Football

The sixth week of the NFL season comes to a close on Monday night when the Philadelphia Eagles host the New York Giants in a matchup between NFC East rivals. The Eagles opened as a 3.5-point favorite and the line has climbed to 5.5 points at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. The moneyline has the Eagles between -220 and -250, and the Giants between +190 and +210.

The Eagles have controlled this series in recent years. They are 4–2 against the spread in the last six home games against the Giants, and 11–3 ATS in their last 14 games overall against the Giants. The Eagles are 2–3 straight up and ATS this season. They are 3–6 ATS in their last nine games according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

The Eagles will be without inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks, who will miss the game due to a hamstring injury. Running back Ryan Mathews is listed as questionable after suffering a groin injury in practice.

The Giants have won three straight coming into this game, and are 3–2 SU and ATS in 2015. They are 4–1 ATS in their last five road games, and 8–2 ATS in their last 10 October road games. The Giants are 0–3 SU in their last three Monday Night Football games.

The biggest question facing the Giants is the status of wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. He suffered a hamstring injury in Week 6 and is listed as questionable after sitting out all three practices this week, He could play without a week of practice, but his status will likely not be officially known until inactives are announced 90 minutes before the game.

The Giants will also be without cornerback Prince Amukamara and linebacker Devon Kennard, who are officially out for Monday Night Football.

The total is set at 49.5 points at the sportsbooks. The total has gone UNDER the last five times these teams have met in Philadelphia. The total has gone OVER in five of the Giants' last seven games, as well as in five of their last seven road games.
