The Denver Broncos (7–1) play at home against the Kansas City Chiefs (3–5) on Sunday.

The Broncos suffered their first loss of the season last week, falling to the Indianapolis Colts, 27–24. Quarterback Peyton Manning completed 21 of 36 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns. However, his turnover problems arose again, and he threw two interceptions. The Denver running offense struggled, picking up just 35 yards.

The Chiefs won a second consecutive game last week, blowing out the Detroit Lions, 45–10. Quarterback Alex Smith was efficient, completing 18 of 28 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Charcandrick West has played well in Jamaal Charles’s absence, and he picked up 97 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
