Super Bowl 50 Odds: After beating K.C., Patriots now favored to win it all

After their win over the Chiefs last weekend, the Patriots are favored to win Super Bowl 50.

The Carolina Panthers are 10–1 straight up and against the spread in their last 11 games as a favorite of three points or less. Sitting as a three-point favorite this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, the Panthers hope to pick up another win as a small favorite and earn a trip to Super Bowl 50.

Carolina is at +200 to win Super Bowl 50 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Panthers are 16–1 SU and 12–5 against the spread this season with an average margin of victory of 11.4 points per game, winning 12 of their 17 games by at least a touchdown.

In most seasons the Panthers would be a runaway favorite to win the Super Bowl, but this year there are two other teams that are surprisingly statistically similar.

The Arizona Cardinals would pay +375 to win the Super Bowl, tasked with upsetting the Panthers on the road this Sunday just to make it into the big game. Like the Panthers, Arizona has been dominant on both sides of the ball this season with an average margin of victory of 10.4 points per game.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes: Brady and Patriots’ offense are built to adapt

The Cardinals head into the NFC Championship Game with a 14–3 SU and 9–8 ATS record and five straight wins on the road.

Carolina and Arizona finished the regular season with the top two scoring offenses, but the New England Patriots weren’t far behind ranking third with 29.1 points per game.

The Patriots were averaging 33.7 points per game en route to a 9–0 SU and 5-3-1 ATS start, but injuries slowed New England's offense down in the stretch run.

Last week’s 27–20 win over Kansas City indicates that the Patriots are back on track, and they are the favorite to win it all at +190.

After throwing 17 interceptions in nine starts during the regular season, Peyton Manning protected the ball well and didn't turn it over once in Denver’s 23–16 win over Pittsburgh last week.

For the Broncos to come through at +400 on the Super Bowl betting lines, they will need to continue to play well on defense and avoid turnovers on offense.
