Peyton Manning says Cam Newton should be MVP

Tuesday February 2nd, 2016

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning said at Super Bowl Media Day on Monday that Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton should be the league MVP.

“Cam Newton is the MVP of the league,” Manning stated. “No doubt in my mind he’ll be the MVP.”

When asked about Newton’s celebratory habits after scoring, Manning said he believes the Panthers’ signal caller’s controversial enthusiasm for the game is good.

Manning also added that he himself will celebrate if he runs for a touchdown against the Panthers on Sunday.

“If I rush for a touchdown on Sunday, believe me, I’ll be celebrating,” Manning said.
