List: Top five lowest–scoring Super Bowls ever

Only 21 points were scored in Super Bowl VII.

Entering Super Bowl 50, the lowest–scoring Super Bowl in history was Super Bowl VII, when the Miami Dolphins defeated the Washington Redskins 14-7.

Eight of the first 10 Super Bowls rank among the lowest-scoring Super Bowls. In addition to the 21 points scored in 1973, there were four other occasions—all between 1969 and 1975—when fewer than 30 points were scored in the Super Bowl.
