Secretary of Navy hopes to see Keenan Reynolds play for Ravens

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus supports Keenan Reynolds’s bid to play for the Baltimore Ravens immediately, he said on the Dan Patrick Show.
Reynolds is obligated to serve two years of active duty in the Navy after graduation from the Academy, but Mabus said that there are paths for Reynolds to play and serve simultaneously.
Mabus cited New England Patriots long snapper Joe Cardona and Colorado Rapids defender Joe Greenspan, who played last season while on active duty.

“I’m confident that we can work something out for Keenan to do both. To serve his country and to play professional football,” Mabus said.
Reynolds was drafted by the Ravens in the sixth round after finishing fifth in Heisman voting and being named a third team All-American.
He is expected to play receiver in the NFL.
