The New England Patriots have traded linebacker Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a compensatory third-round draft pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Collins has 43 combined tackles with one forced fumble and two interceptions on the season.
Collins is in the final year of his rookie contract.
He missed the Patriots' win over the Cincinatti Bengals with a hip injury but returned for Sunday's 41–25 win over the Buffalo Bills.
The Patriots are 7–1 on the season and sit atop the AFC East. The Browns remain winless with an 0–8 record on the year.
