A typical football game lasts around three hours. But the Super Bowl is not a typical game. Between all of the commercials and an extended halftime, the Super Bowl could stretch out to three and a half or four hours. Halftime during a normal game is 12 minutes, but the Super Bowl's lasts 30 minutes thanks to commercials, analysis and the highly anticipated musical performance. This year's halftime show will be performed by Kendrick Lamar.
On average Super Bowl has lasted three hours and thirty-nine minutes. Since kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. ET this year, you can probably expect the game to end close to 11 p.m. ET.
