Vikings’ 2022 NFL Draft Picks: Who Minnesota Took Each Round

The Vikings have a new brain trust, as general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and head coach Kevin O’Connell head into their first season with Minnesota in 2022. They brought back quarterback Kirk Cousins for next year, meaning the Vikings could go in a variety of directions with their first pick.

Minnesota entered the draft with eight picks, but four in the final two rounds. In previous years, the Vikings were known for trading back, but a new set of leaders may mean a new plan in Minnesota.

However, the Lions made a trade with the Vikings in the first round. Minnesota sent its No. 12 and No. 46 picks to Detroit. In return, the Vikings received the No. 32, No. 34 and No. 66 selections from the Lions.

The Vikings later traded the No. 34 pick to the Packers in exchange for the No. 53  and No. 59 picks in the draft.

Here is how the Vikings’ draft has turned out thus far (to be updated throughout NFL draft):

  • Round 1, Pick 32 (from Rams via Lions): Lewis Cine, S, Georgia
  • Round 2, Pick 42 (from Colts via Commanders): Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
