Sunday Night Football Predictions
When it comes to the Ravens and Jaguars, many fans may not immediately think of a defensive battle, but it may be more of one than you’d think. Baltimore, of course, has been a franchise known for its defense, and that hasn’t changed.
They’re allowing the second-fewest points per game (16.8), but the more surprising side is that of the Jags. Jacksonville’s defense has stepped up in a big way this season, particularly against the run. They allow the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game, and now facing the NFL’s best rushing offense, that is going to pay huge dividends.
While our overall Sunday Night Football predictions are for a low-scoring, close game, our best bet is going to be focused on the Jags.

This matchup truly could go either way, which is why making SNF predictions this week is a challenging task. However, with that being the case, we’ll happily take the team on home turf getting points. More importantly, the spread is just over that key number three.
The Jags can absolutely keep things within a field goal, as the Ravens have been allowing teams to stick around all season. In fact, just last weekend they were forced into overtime by a Los Angeles Rams team that they were favored to beat by more than a touchdown. That was also at home, where Baltimore is known to thrive.
The major concern here is Jags QB Trevor Lawrence. After injuring his ankle two games ago, he was still able to suit up this past weekend. Although in a loss, he’ll have yet another week of rehab under his belt. Even if he can’t lead Jacksonville to the outright win, since we’re expecting a low-scoring game, those types of matchups nearly always favor the underdog.
Furthermore, three of the Ravens last five games have been within one possession and would have been four if not for a very late touchdown in a different Sunday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. As for Jacksonville, each of their last three games have been decided by either three or four points.
