Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy 'Fine' After Minor OTA Injury

'Tis but a bruise.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is "fine" after sustaining a minor thigh injury during Thursday's Organized Team Activities.

Jeudy was involved in a collision with cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian, causing the fourth-year pass-catcher to limp off and spend the duration of practice on the sideline.

“He just banged his thigh. He’s fine," Broncos head coach Sean Payton told reporters.

Injuries have been commonplace for Jeudy, who missed six games in 2021 due to a right high-ankle sprain and two games last season as he dealt with rib and left ankle issues (while still managing to lead Denver in receiving). Nevertheless, he persists.

Before exiting, Jeudy wowed onlookers by skying for a deep ball from quarterback Russell Wilson. Such is why the Broncos exercised his option and, eschewing trade offers, installed the former first-round pick atop Payton's WR depth chart.

"We’re high—really high—on Jerry. ... Jerry finished the season strong—the last five games, he had over 500 yards," general manager George Paton said in April.

Barring further injury, Jeudy, 24, appears poised to build on a breakout 2022 campaign, though it's possible he's treated with kid gloves until next month's mandatory minicamp.
