Emmanuel Sanders is tired of losing.

Look, it hasn't been all bad for the Denver Broncos. But the NFL isn't a try-hard league. It's not a silver-lining league.

It's a results-oriented business. And the results for the Broncos through three games now have equaled a losing formula.

That's what's on the mind of wideout Emmanuel Sanders, who, after having two big games to open the season, was held to just two receptions for 10 yards vs. the Green Bay Packers.

"Times are rough around here," Sanders said via Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. "Obviously the past three years—it's been tough. Trying to get it right. We sit at 0-3, living in a world of suck. Football is still fun, but it's not so much fun when you're losing, especially when you prepare as hard as you can, you go out and have four targets, two catches and 10 yards. But there's always next week, so I'm optimistic."

Vic Fangio said it best after the Broncos' 27-16 loss to the Packers.

“Yeah, we’re 0-3, that’s our record, that’s a fact," Fangio said from the podium at Lambeau Field. "I do see a lot of good out there, but not enough. We’re not doing enough good things that the good teams that win do, which is protect the ball. It hasn’t been a problem in the first two games, but it was today. We’re not getting the ball turned over, as everybody has alluded to. And we’re not stopping them enough, even though our stats might show that. We’re not playing good enough defense.”

The Broncos' biggest problems in Green Bay were their three turnovers offensively, and on the other side of the ball, a failure to get to Aaron Rodgers and take the ball away. Offensively, though, there were some encouraging signs of progress outside of the trio of giveaways.

The Broncos had consecutive 15‐play scoring drives in the first half, which is a marked improvement, considering the team had only one scoring drive of 15 or more plays in all of 2018. Denver also totaled 149 rushing yards on the road, which is one of the components to winning in hostile environment, traditionally.

But when an offense turns the ball over three times, which led to 14 Packers' points, it negates the production gleaned on the ground. The Broncos are taking baby steps from an improvement standpoint.

It's just not happening fast enough. Meanwhile, this team continues to lose games by shooting itself in the foot.

So long as that continues, fans will continue to hear murmuring from players about "living in a world of suck".
