Broncos vs. Bears: 5 Bold Predictions to Energize Fans

In this story:
After the Denver Broncos' last performance, coming up with bold predictions for Week 4's tilt at the Chicago Bears was tough.
Where can you go after the Broncos allowed such a historic game defensively? Well, it took some time, but here are my bold predictions for the week.
This week's are more favorable than they were in Miami.
McLaughlin Scores 2 TDs
Javonte Williams has been playing well, and the run game has been his, basically despite Samaje Perine being better statistically and analytically. The Broncos run game starts hot, only to fall apart.
That's been the story with this offense. It's great on the first 15-20 plays, but after that, it's been full of struggles.
One thing that can help is getting the ball to the Broncos' more explosive playmakers. Williams is great but hasn't produced an explosive play this season.
Perine has one such play, which came as a receiver. However, neither of them is the explosive back on the team. That would fall to Jaleel McLaughlin, who's been thrown to the wolves, almost literally.
Denver needs to find a way to generate more explosiveness, which can help its stagnancy issues when going off script. The Bears' defense represents an excellent opportunity to get McLaughlin on the field and help him adapt to the NFL.
The rookie manages to find his way to the end zone twice in Week 4, once as a receiver, where he can show off his explosive ability when he gets to work in space.
Someone Other Than Wilson Throws a Pass
Sean Payton isn't a tricky play-caller, but it doesn't mean he hasn't dialed up subterfuge before. After all, the Broncos' season-opening kickoff was an onside kick.
This time, to help fire up the offense, Payton dials up a trick play. Wilson hands it off, or tosses it to someone, who throws a pass downfield.
Sitting at 0-3, the Broncos badly need a win, which opens the door for some trickery. This is a game to test out those boundaries on offense.
Trick plays can bring such a spark to an offense when they work, but they also can spark the opposing defense if they don't. Denver is at that point after last week's 70-20 shellacking.
Bonitto Picks up Two Sacks
Nik Bonitto is doing fine as a pass rusher on a struggling unit. He has seven pressures this season, and this is a matchup where his speed and explosive get-off can be a massive bonus for the Broncos, but it comes with some risk.
The Bears' right tackle is Darnell Wright, a big, powerful mauler. However, Wright has issues protecting the arc against speed, which is Bonitto's biggest strength. Wright has allowed two sacks on 10 total pressures this season.
Again, Wright is a powerful blocker, so if he gets his hands on Bonitto, it will be problematic. If the Bears see Bonitto lining up against Wright, they could quickly attack him in the run game.
While Bonitto has improved as a pass rusher, his run defense is still sub-par and can be exploited. That's where the risk comes in.
It also isn't a case of switching sides, as Bears left tackle Braxton Jones has been playing pretty good football this season, allowing only four pressures. Penalties have been the issue there, which you can look for getting with Bonitto matching up there.
Both sides will probably walk out with wins in the matchup, but Bonitto gets two sacks.
A Big Boy Scores a TD
This is a little open-ended, as it can come on offense or defense, but one of the big boys comes out of the game with a touchdown. It can be a trick play on offense with a sixth lineman trotting out as eligible and getting a touchdown.
Maybe D.J. Jones or Zach Allen picks up a fumble and rumbles their way for a touchdown. Whatever the case, Denver gets a big boy touchdown, and there will be much rejoicing.
Broncos Block a Punt
The Broncos' special teams unit has been good, specifically their coverage, punting, and kickoff units. They break through on a Bears punt and block it, giving the offense good field position.
