The Cleveland Browns have agreed to a one-year deal with linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk. The deal is worth $1.232 million and comes a little over a month since they released him on February 14th.

After adding Kunaszyk before the start of the season, he became a fixture on special teams. Kunaszyk played 71.4 percent of special teams snaps for the season. That number is even higher considering that he suffered an injury to his hand that caused him to miss the final two games of the season. Those 317 snaps led the Browns in 2022. The next highest amount was 290 by fellow linebacker Tony Fields II.

Nine days after the release of Kunaszyk, the Browns hired Bubba Ventrone to coach their special teams. Despite the change, Kunazsyk's play made enough of an impression to be brought back to be part of his special teams unit.

Kunaszyk did end up playing some linebacker snaps due to the sheer amount of injuries the Browns suffered at the position. He takes the position the Browns may have in mind when they reportedly spoke to free agent and former Brown Mack Wilson.

Whether the Browns released Kunaszyk to give him the ability to shop around and see if he could get a better offer, wanted to give themselves the freedom to find a better option for themselves or both, the two parties have reunited and he appears to be headed to a featured role in the new look special teams unit for the Browns.
