Cleveland Browns sign Braxton Miller, waive Mik'Quan Deane with Non Football Illness Designation

The Cleveland Browns have opted to sign recently released and former Houston Texans third round pick Braxton Miller, who was most recently with the Philadelphia Eagles. Their corresponding move was to waive tight end/H-back Mik'Quan Deane with a non football illness designation. Deane was an undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky.
Miller played quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes, then attempted to make the transition to become a wide receiver, which hasn't gone smoothly to this point. For the Browns, he may be more special teams than anything, but his athleticism is potentially a unique skill set if they can find the right spot for him.
Wide receiver in particular is an extremely loaded position group, which seems like it might be all but decided already, but Miller represents a free look at an athletic player to see if there's something they see in him no one else has.
Deane's illness, whatever it actually is, means they can't evaluate him any further, so they might as well get a look at another player. Miller's name will stick out to this area given his career at Ohio State, but it doesn't give him any additional hope of making the team, short of showing something remarkable.
