WATCH: Brian Hoyer Responds to Johnny Manziel's "That QB Room Was Not Home" Comments

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer joined the Good Morning Football set and talked about the comments made by Johnny Manziel last week about the 2014 Browns' quarterback room

Brian Hoyer was on the beach enjoying vacation when his former teammate Mac Jones sent him a text. That text read, "Funny I didn't get this treatment as a rookie!"

Hoyer saw the clip and his first thought was "Oh man, here we go."

Former Cleveland quarterback Johnny Manziel got his name and the Browns back in the news cycle last week when he joined Shannon Sharpe's podcast, Club Shay Shay. On the show, he aired some dirty laundry as to what the Browns quarterback room was in 2014.

The takeaway from Manziel's comments was that the veteran in the room, Brian Hoyer, didn't make that room feel like home for him.

It's tough to imagine a guy like Shannon Sharpe letting Manziel come on his podcast and talk about his blatant disrespect for a sport and profession that Sharpe is a Hall of Famer in.

As time has passed, the Cleveland years of Manziel's career have become a joke and a punchline and somehow, he tries to paint himself the victim and Brian Hoyer the bully.

I'm sure at times that room was filled with tension. How could it not be when the owner and general manager are pushing for their draft pick to be the starter and not the guy who grew up on the West Side of Cleveland. Oh, and that draft pick just spent Monday and Tuesday in Las Vegas partying instead of preparing.

Hoyer, as he always does, took the high road. He even acknowledged that he probably wasn't the most accommodating to the young Manziel, but why would he be? He was competing for his dream job, being the quarterback of his hometown team. While the other guy watched "Zero" film.

This story seems to surface every couple of offseasons but if those walls in the quarterback room could talk, I'm sure they would have a heck of a story to tell.
