The Cleveland Browns have signed all of their 2019 draft picks. It's interesting how run of the mill this seems. With the slotted rookie contracts, it's just not a difficult process to lock up the draft picks, save for a first round pick in a weird spot in the draft waiting for players around them to get signed.

It's good that the Browns have everyone signed, so there's no question headed to minicamp that could lead to someone missing time or bogus criticisms about how badly a player wants to be out there when they are waiting on the team and agent to get details hammered out.

It's fantastic to be in a spot where rookie contracts getting done are taken for granted as opposed to holdouts that drag into training camp. The excitement for the rookies is also somewhat muted because they didn't have a first round pick, the team has added a ton of huge acquisitions and everyone is awaiting the winner of the Gerald McCoy sweepstakes.

That is yet another step in the evolution towards being good. Obviously the Browns had a pair of incredibly important and meaningful drafts the past two seasons, selecting a total of five first round picks and four second round picks as opposed to just one second round pick, but the focus is on the present as opposed to the future.
