Cleveland Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski announced that starting right tackle Jack Conklin has been placed in concussion protocol. While this obviously means that he will be out of the team's joint practice session against the Eagles today, he will have plenty of time to return before the start of the regular season.

It is still to be determined whether or not the Browns plan on playing starters in their final preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. If they want to get in a final dress rehearsal for the starters, the calendar aligns well for a potential return for Conklin.

In Conklin's absence we would expect James Hudson to fill in at right tackle today with the starters. It will be interesting to see if the team will give any reps with the first unit to rookie Dawand Jones, who continues to impress and looks like a massive draft steal.

In other injury updates, it appears that both Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward, who both left practice early with trainers yesterday are fine and will both practice again today.

Stefanski also said that wide receiver Elijah Moore would take part during individual drills after suffering a blow to his ribs during Friday night's game against Washington. I will be interested to see if Moore tries to sneak into a few team period reps, as he is such a competitive guy.

One final injury piece of information related to practice and a welcoming sign: It appears that linebacker Matthew Adams will practice for the first time since the beginning of training camp. He happened to sustain one of the first injuries suffered by a player at camp or the preseason.
