Browns Workout Five Veteran Players

In this story:
With the dust now settled across the NFL with rosters and practice squads, many talented players find themselves the odd man out without a team. The Cleveland Browns appear to be interested in depth at two positions after working out a total of five players yesterday.
The team worked out two running backs and three linebackers. At running back the Browns currently have three on the active roster and one on the practice squad. The group of four total leaves them light at the position overall if they were to have an injury. At linebacker, they have six on the roster and one on the practice squad.
The players that were brought in for workouts are the following:
LB Davion Taylor
Taylor is an interesting name because Jim Schwartz was in Philadelphia when the Eagles drafted him in the 3rd round in 2020. He is a veteran off-ball linebacker who played a lot early in his career.
LB Travin Howard
Howard is a former 7th round pick by the Rams in the 2018 draft and most recently played with the Buffalo Bills during the preseason before being part of roster cuts.
LB Mykal Walker
Walker is a former 4th round pick by Atlanta in the 2020 draft. He was signed by Chicago this past offseason but was cut during final cuts.
RB Jaret Patterson
Patterson, (‘5, 8”, 195 lbs) is a small shifty back who can also be a factor receiving and returning kicks. He was signed as an UDFA by the Commanders after the 2021 draft and rushed for 344 yards and 2 touchdowns in his time in Washington.
RB Darwin Thompson
Thompson, (5’,8”, 200 lbs) was originally drafted in the 6th round in 2019 by Kansas City. He has bounced around to several teams over the past few years and has totaled 225 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns in his career.
I think the Browns could have an interest in Patterson or Thompson as depth in the return game but I will be keeping my eye on Taylor as the most likely possible addition to the team. He has the athletic pedigree as well as being familiar with Schwartz's scheme on his side.
