Cleveland Browns fans have lived through OBJ being injured while playing on the road against the Bengals. While this injury doesn't appear to be as serious as that one, history has repeated itself with the Ravens receiver leaving the game against the Bengals.

The Ravens have already been decimated by injuries after the first week and they now have Beckham Jr. added to that list. Beckham Jr. was ruled out for the remainder of the game with an ankle injury during the third quarter in the Ravens-Bengals game that is shaping up to be one of the better early games on Sunday.

It isn't exactly clear how or when the injury happened at this time. It was announced on the broadcast that he had been ruled out and was later shown on the sideline in street clothes. Beckham had been dealing with an ankle injury leading up to week 1 but was able to play last week in their win against the Texans. It is possible that he may have aggravated the original injury.

Beckham has not been able to play a full season since 2019, when he was with the Browns and had his last 1,000 yard season. He suffered a torn ACL in week 5 of the 2020 season against the Bengals. He returned to the Browns for a tumultuous 2021 season that led to his release. He would go on to sign with the Rams and help lead them to a Super Bowl win against the Bengals despite tearing his ACL again.

He did not play anywhere in 2022 and eventually signed with the Ravens this past offseason. Prior to his exit Beckham Jr. caught 3 passes for 29 yards. With the Ravens going to 2-0, it sets up a big matchup with Browns two weeks from today.
