Thursday Night Football Thoughts: Two Current Denver Broncos Make Sense for the Browns

In this story:
The Denver Broncos (1-5) kicked off Week 6 with a 19-8 primetime loss against the Kansas City Chiefs (5-1). For many that was the first time seeing a full Bronco game this year and there are some serious problems at Mile High.
Reports out of Denver are that they are preparing for a firesale starting with offloading some veteran talent at the deadline. There are two players that catch my eye when seeing how the Browns can upgrade their roster.
LT #72 Garrett Bolles
Garrett Bolles had a viral clip after week 3 where he held back tears saying "I have been here (Denver) for seven years and have done nothing but lose." The 2017 first-round pick is playing very good football in 2023. He currently holds a 73.1 PFF grade and more importantly, has given up only one sack on the year.
He is currently in year number two of a four-year contract where he will earn $17.8M this season and $20M in 2024. A hefty price tag, but protecting your quarterback's blindside is worth it.
The list of suitors for Bolles is long. If I'm Andrew Berry I make this call and get him on the next flight to Cleveland.
WR #10 Jerry Jeudy
Reports out of Denver before the October 12th game versus the Chiefs were that Jeudy is firmly on the trade block. A video surfaced pregame of agitated NFL Network reporter Steve Smith Sr. not mincing his words when talking about Jeudy.
It seems as though the time in Denver is all but over for the former Alabama standout. Maybe a fresh start is exactly what he needs and Andrew Berry should kick the tires.
Through Week 6, Jeudy is off to a pedestrian start with 20 catches for 222 yards and no touchdowns. He is in year four of his five-year rookie contract. While affordable this year, his cap hit spikes in 2024.
Adding Jeudy is more of a "want" than a "need" for the Browns. Personally, I like where the Browns receiver room is, but adding a premier talent is worth exploring. We have seen Andrew Berry pull off some spectacular deals in the past, is Jeudy next?
Andrew Berry never shies away from the opportunity to improve this roster, let's see if he is able to take advantage of the Denver teardown to improve the Browns.
