Originally reported by JoeBucsFan, FOX Sports' Greg Auman confirmed that the Buccaneers are waiting for approval from the league front office on whether or not they will indeed get to have joint practices with the Jets leading up to their preseason matchup.

If the Buccaneers indeed get their approval from the league they will once again matchup with Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, who the Bucs are most familiar with during his time with the Green Bay Packers, likely won't play much, if at all, during the preseason game, however, there will be live reps taken by the future Hall of Famer throughout the week's practices.

Last season the Buccaneers held joint practices with the Miami Dolphins in preseason, so it will be interesting to see if the league approves the Bucs' motion to face off with the Jets this year as they are expected to take a leap and be one of the more formidable teams in the NFL in 2023.

The last time the Bucs faced off against the Jets was in 2021 on their way to the NFC Championship game that saw the Bucs come from behind win thanks to late Tom Brady heroics and of course the temper tantrum that was thrown by Antonio Brown as he shed his pads and left the field mid-game.
