Rachaad White Unphased Should Bucs Draft Bijan Robinson

Rachaad White's confidence level remains high despite suggestions that the Buccaneers could look to add the top running back in this year's draft.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could go in a number of different directions with their first-round pick in this year's NFL draft.

They currently hold in the 19th overall selection.

As it stands, the Bucs have plenty of needs on their roster. Those needs are likely to become even more glaring in the near future with the team expected to lose additional players due to free agency and roster cuts.

As far as the NFL draft prospects and their positions go, the highest-rated players at the marquee positions are expected to be off the board by the time the Bucs are on the clock at 19.

There is one scenario though, where the undisputed best player at his position should be available when it's time for the Bucs to make that pick. That position is running back, and that player is Bijan Robinson.

The talented back out of Texas is considered by many to be the best running back prospect to enter the league since Saquon Barkley. As a result, Robinson is widely expected to be selected in the first round of this year's draft.

So with Leonard Fournette being released, and emerging second-year player, Rachaad White, expected to handle the bulk of the carries next year, would the Buccaneers even consider using their first-round selection on Bijan Robinson?

Although I personally don't see that happening, the NFL Network's top draft prognosticator, Daniel Jeremiah, had the Bucs selecting Robinson in his mock draft 2.0

Although it's hard to predict how fans in Tampa might react to the Buccaneers selecting Bijan Robinson with their first pick, we now know exactly how Rachaad White would feel about it.

In an interview with Pewter Report, White stated, "You can draft Bijan, you can draft whoever, at the end of the day, I’m going to win that job, that’s just what I’ve always done."

It's hard to imagine White not feeling some sort of way should the Buccaneers actually go on to draft Bijan Robinson. But based on his willingness to address the topic with such confidence, it's obvious that White has plenty of belief in his own ability, and what the future has in store for him as the lead back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
