Star Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Wide Receiver Named to 2024 Pro Bowl
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that Mike Evans made the Pro Bowl for the fifth time in his career - while no other players made the team.
Winfield is a huge snub and will likely be one of the finalists, if not a selection on the All-Pro team. Wirfs is huge too, but some very elite tackles are playing in the NFC right now.
Evans will still have one more game to play in the regular season but he is having one of his career-best years. In this golden age of wide-receiving talent Evans continues to be among the best.
He is currently leading the league in touchdowns (13), 10th in receiving yards (1,233), and 5th in yards per catch (16.2).
This year he put his stamp on his Hall of Fame bid and helped bring this offense into a new era with Baker Mayfield and Dave Canales.
He and Mayfield had instant chemistry and they could likely both return in 2024. Evans is set to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season while the Buccaneers have nearly $50 million in cap space.
They will surely be interested in bringing back the franchise legend after one of his best seasons ever.
This is the first year in his career that he has had over 1,200 yards and 13 touchdowns and has had only two other years with more receiving yards. He also went for 1,000 yards in his 10th consecutive season this year which is the second longest streak.
