Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins has been a hot topic of discussion in memory.

The Cardinals are clearly in a rebuilding phase, and Hopkins was reportedly put on the trade market in the early days of the offseason.

Months have come and gone, and though plenty of rumors have ran through the news cycle, Hopkins is still on the team following the 2023 NFL Draft.

Hopkins - who has been working out on his own and did not attend the team's voluntary workouts last week - offered the following message on his Instagram story:

"I see everybody telling me to stay. Who said I wanna go? Who said I wanted to leave? I'm out here working baby."

Is Hopkins staying with the Cardinals?

His name was heavily tagged in rumors last week. One radio station reporter out of Baltimore suggested the Cardinals and Ravens had framework of a deal in place to send him to the AFC North, while NBC's Mike Florio reported the Cardinals and Tennessee Titans were working on a deal that involved Hopkins and the No. 3 pick.

Many believe last week was the best window of opportunity for the Cardinals to maximize his value. With that window gone, will he stay?

Arizona GM Monti Ossenfor was adamant that Hopkins was going to remain with the team when asked last week.

"I don't foresee that happening. I don't know what is going to happen here in the next couple of days. Right now I don't foresee that happening, no," Ossenfort said following Round 1.

Before concluding his media availability, Ossenfort was asked if there was still a chance Hopkins could remain in Arizona.

"Absolutely. DeAndre is a Cardinal. So DeAndre is a Cardinal and we're moving forward."

Hopkins spent the first seven years of his career with the Houston Texans after drafting him in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Cardinals in 2020 for running back David Johnson, a 2020 second-round pick and a 2021 fourth-round pick.

In 35 games for the Cardinals, Hopkins reeled in 221 passes for 2,696 yards and 17 touchdowns.

In total, he has five All-Pro nods with five Pro Bowl appearances.

If traded, the Cardinals will eat $21.07 million in dead money but will save $8.9 million in cap space for 2023 (OverTheCap). His current cap hit is $30.75 million, the second-highest out of all receivers for the upcoming season.
