Rams Put Jalen Ramsey on Trade Block; 'Very Likely' to be Dealt Soon

In this story:
The Arizona Cardinals have dealt with the talents of Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey for perhaps the last time in the NFC West.
Ramsey has been a hot name in cap casualty cut talks across the league, and NFL Media's Tom Pelissero reports that not only have the Rams included Ramsey in trade talks, but he is likely to be dealt in the coming weeks.
The #Rams have had trade talks about six-time Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey and league sources now believe it’s very likely Ramsey is dealt in coming weeks.

Ramsey has long been one of the league's best cornerbacks since first arriving on the scene in 2016 as the No. 5 overall pick.
The three-time All-Pro corner spent three full seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being traded in October of 2019 to the Rams. Ramsey would eventually help Los Angeles to their Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2021 season.
Now, the two sides look to separate. As Pelissero points out in the tweet above, Ramsey is due $17 million in 2023. Ramsey has cap hits of $22.5 million, $26.7 million and $22.7 million in the final three years of his deal.
According to Spotrac, his cap hit in 2023 ranks No. 2 for cornerbacks, No. 3 on Los Angeles and No. 31 overall in the league.
Per OverTheCap, the Rams are nearly $15 million in debt to the salary cap.
Arizona - playing Ramsey and Los Angeles twice a season - wouldn't be terribly upset with his departure.
