Top WR Prospect: Joining Cardinals Would be 'Tremendous'

LSU WR Malik Nabers says playing with the Arizona Cardinals and QB Kyler Murray would be tremendous.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Arizona Cardinals will have plenty of options available for them with the No. 4 overall pick, and with Marquise Brown set to depart in free agency, the team will be in desperate need of a playmaker for Kyler Murray to throw the ball to.

While Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. is the obvious golden ticket for Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort, Arizona could still look at other players at the position.

While the No. 2 WR spot behind Harrison is very much up for debate, many believe LSU's Malik Nabers will land somewhere in the top ten thanks to his burst and ability after the catch as a home-run hitter.

If Nabers landed in Arizona, he wouldn't be too upset.

Appearing on CBS Sports HQ earlier this week, Nabers was asked about potentially playing for the Cardinals and quarterback Kyler Murray:

"As you know, Kyler Murray [is a] Heisman quarterback. Has a great arm. Able to create space for himself. Dual-threat quarterback, got a good arm, smart with the football.  One of those guys [I would like] to play with, it would be tremendous to play with him," said Nabers.

NFL Draft insider Daniel Jeremiah believes the Cardinals should take a receiver at No. 4, regardless if the top prospect in Harrison is off the board:

"I would take one of the wide-outs personally. I think if you just look purely off of grade and not positional value, I tweeted this out the other day: I think you could make the case the three highest graded players in this draft are those three receivers. They are outstanding," Jeremiah said during a recent media availability.

"You know with Marvin you kind of get the big power forward who's got some really good quickness for a big guy and really tracks the ball extremely well. [Rome] Odunze is going to be 200, close to 220 pounds.

"... And then [Malik] Nabers is just like a stick of dynamite. I mean, he's super, super explosive. Just get the ball in his hands and let him go. I think there's more to him in terms of a route runner. I think he'll get more opportunities to show that at the next level. But he is ultra, ultra explosive.

"So to me, I think you need some firepower if you're the Arizona Cardinals, you need some guys who can go get it and go make plays."
