Former Atlanta Falcons safety Demontae Kazee, who is coming off of a torn Achilles in 2020, could be that pinpointed guy.

There are a host of safeties still on the market. In fact, there are a host of Falcons DBs on the market, all of whom have a connection with  the new defensive coordinator at The Star in Frisco, former Falcons head coach Dan Quinn.

That list includes Ricardo Allen, Keanu Neal, Darqueze Dennard and Kazee, who was drafted by Quinn drafted Kazee out of San Diego State in the fifth round 2017. Kazee - who the Dallas News reports has scheduled a Cowboys visit - mostly plays free safety, and while smallish (5-10, 185) has demonstrated ballhawking skills that are much needed in the Dallas secondary, where free agent Xavier Woods may be replaced.

Kazee intercepted 10 total passes in 2018 and 2019 while starting 29 games. Dallas could use him at free safety next to young holdover Donovan Wilson, with just-re-signed Jourdan Lewis in the slot. Neal - big enough to by a hybrid player who could also line up at linebacker - joins the other aforementioned ex-Falcons who may still remain in play for the Cowboys.
