FRISCO - La’el Collins is the headliner in terms of his ability to help on the field. But for Dallas Cowboys fans? Martavis Bryant is in the Thursday conversation as well.

Here inside The Star, Dallas has just executed a series of roster moves. The official signing of Collins, the offensive lineman who once started here and should be at work today, is the big one. But ...

In addition to Collins, Dallas also signed linebacker Damien Wilson in another reunion move. Also coming aboard are running back SaRodorick Thompson and wide receiver Racey McMath.

Heading out the exit? The Cowboys released wide receiver Martavis Bryant, wide receiver Tyron Billy-Johnson, offensive lineman Adam Pankey and defensive tackle Willington Previlon from the practice squad.

"We're trying to make sure we're locked and loaded for the playoffs,'' coach Mike McCarthy said, reflecting on the moves. "If you look at the addition of players who have played in games ... really important.''

Collins, 30, is seen as a tackle here but does have position flex. He was a premium talent coming out of his NFL Draft class, but was cut by Dallas in 2022 for reasons of finance and behavior.

Experience and depth can help the Dallas offensive line as left guard Tyler Smith works through his plantar fascia tear and as stalwarts Tyron Smith and Zack Martin also work to full health for the playoffs.

Wilson, 30, has also had behavioral baggage. He was a starter in his first stint with Dallas before leaving for Kansas City, where he started for the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

Bryant, 32, had been out of the NFL since being indefinitely suspended in 2018 for a series of behavioral issues. The 6-4 receiver was once a standout in Cleveland and was added to the Dallas practice squad in November.
