DAK 4 MVP? Look Inside How Prescott's Dallas Cowboys Stats are Exploding at NFL-Best

ARLINGTON - Dallas Cowboys defensive leader Micah Parsons said it before Sunday's Week 10 visit from the New York Giants regarding Cowboys offensive leader Dak Prescott.

"Open your eyes, people!'' Micah said last week on his "The Edge" podcast. "I think that Dak Prescott should be in the MVP conversation. If you're looking at numbers, what he's able to do, his efficiency, things like that, Dak Prescott is playing at an elite level.''

And now the "Dak 4 MVP'' case - or at least his inclusion in the conversation - has another bundle of fat numbers to add to the pile.

The Cowboys crushed their NFC East rival 49-17 in an almost name-your-score outing. And Dak? He completed 26 of 35 for 404 yards with four touchdowns (and one interception) while also adding a rushing touchdown.

And now Prescott’s odds to win MVP currently sit at +4000 at DraftKings Sportsbook. That doesn't quite rank him with the likes of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, but it does tie him with other dark-horse candidates like Tyreek Hill, Trevor Lawrence, and rookie sensation CJ Stroud.

Dak's numbers continue to be on the rise. The 400/4 phenomenon? This marks the fourth time he's hit that double-double, a Dallas franchise record - and it's tied for eighth-most times in NFL history.

Dak's 97.2 QBR in Week 10 is the best single-game rating by a quarterback in the NFL this season, and overall he currently ranks third in the NFL in QBR with a 72.5, trailing only Josh Allen and Brock Purdy.

And in Dak's last four games? The numbers line up like so ...

TD passes: 12; Interceptions: two; Completion percentage: 72.1 percent; YPA: 9.7; Passer rating: 125.1. Pitch in two rushing TDs (on 19 carries for 90 yards) and Dallas' 6-3 record?

That's how an MVP campaign works.

Said team owner Jerry Jones: "He's playing as good as I've ever seen him play. He's playing with confidence, but knowledge of the offense. He's playing in sync with his coaching. As good as I've seen him play."

"I think he needs to be talked about more,'' Micah predicted. "I think he will prove that through the end of this year, winning some big games and leading us to the playoffs."

For yet another Sunday, Parsons' prediction was right. And for yet another Sunday, so was Prescott's performance.
