Cowboys' Micah Parsons Recruited by Eagles' A.J. Brown: 'Come on Over!'

Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown isn't letting up in his attempt to convince Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons to switch NFC East factions.

The Dallas Cowboys made their first-round pick of the 2023 NFL Draft by selecting Michigan defensive tackle Mazi Smith at No. 26.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles had arguably the best first round of anyone on Day 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday. Philly added two more former Georgia pass-rushers, selecting Jalen Carter at No. 9 and Nolan Smith at No. 30.

Two big-time picks on the defensive line. But Eagles receiver A.J. Brown isn't satisfied just yet.

While making an appearing as a guest on Zoom for Bleacher Report's draft coverage, Brown began recruiting Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons, who was sitting in studio.

Brown's recruiting pitch to Parsons? To be able to play on an already elite defensive line that just added Carter, arguably the best player in the draft.

"Micah, I know you -- just be a Philadelphia Eagle at this point. I know you want to be a part of this great organization. We got Fletcher Cox, Haason Reddick, Jordan Davis ... the defense is crazy right now. Just come on over."

Of course, Parsons is a Pennsylvania guy and played collegiality at Penn State, making the Eagles an understandably interesting fit for him if we're playing Madden.

Philly has always been chirping at both his head and heart, but he simply shook his head at Brown's remarks. He changed the subject to talk about how surprised and frustrated he was that the Eagles snagged Carter, which now brings another player with potential superstar-level skills to the Philly defense.

Is this enough to sway someone?

Parsons has made it clear that his love for the Cowboys runs deep. His love for the state of Pennsylvania does as well. But a simple recruiting gesture will hardly convince the All-Pro linebacker, even if he's admittedly jealous of the draft picks made by his division rivals.
