Cowboys Micah Parsons' Dan Quinn Message to Commanders: 'Take Care of my Guy!

Dan Quinn is now the Washington Commanders head coach and Dallas Cowboys defensive star Micah Parsons knows the type of person the franchise is getting.

Dallas Cowboys defensive star Micah Parsons has never been shy talking about the relationship he had with now-former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.

Having been part of the Dallas defensive setup for three seasons as Quinn played an integral role in transforming the Cowboys' defense with Parsons the centerpiece, now, he is an enemy come gameday.

With Parsons and Quinn developing a close relationship, the "Lion-Backer" knows what type of person the Commanders are getting ... and he also has a message for Washington's players as well.

"They're getting a real upstanding, outstanding guy, man," Parsons told NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. "I hope those players buy in and play extremely hard for him, and understand that ain't no one going to love them and care more about them than Dan Quinn.

“So man, please appreciate his presence, appreciate his greatness, and take care of my guy."

It will be a little odd seeing Quinn lead a rival within the division, but that is football and while Parsons, along with other Cowboys players have built a strong relationship with Quinn, they must now move on.

The NFC East will have a distinct "Dallas" flavor to it as Kellen Moore is now the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator and now Quinn is taking charge of Washington.

With Quinn now gone, Dallas must put in the work to find his replacement, with former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, Brandon Staley and even former Commanders head coach Ron Rivera have all seen their names being thrown up for consideration.

We do know - thanks to CowboysSI.com’s exclusive visit with another NFL owner - that Jerry Jones wants a “home-run hire” …

Just which way the Cowboys will go is unknown, but there appears to be a common theme as each candidate mentioned above, has head coaching experience.

Quinn did wonders in Dallas during his time, but now changes are coming for the Cowboys on the defensive side as Parsons will have a new voice in his ear next season.

With the Commanders need for a winning culture to be established, Quinn feels like a good fit, and we have no doubts that Washington will indeed take good care of Quinn as it moves forward into a new era.
