Cowboys Dak Prescott Reveals 'Pissed!' Locker Room Mindset After Back-to-Back Losses

'Pissed!' The Dallas Cowboys have lost back-to-back games for the first time since 2021 and Dak Prescott has revealed the locker room isn't too happy about it.

The Dallas Cowboys suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time since 2021 when Jason Sanders hit the game-winning field goal as the Miami Dolphins emerged with a 22-20 win in Week 16.

The no "back-to-back" losses narrative was the one thing the Cowboys could hang their hat on as the poor road record talk dominated the landscape last week. Well, now the Cowboys have to face the Detroit Lions and are trying to avoid losing three straight games for the first time since 2020.

As one would imagine, losing consecutive games didn't go down well in the Dallas locker room.

“Pissed,'' Dak Prescott said of the team's feelings after losing to Miami. "Obviously on the road could have been a good one (to win) against a playoff team and just didn't get it done.''

So now what?

"It's just been about for everybody to be accountable, look themselves in the mirror say, 'What more can I do individually?' And then understanding if we do commit to that collectively, we'll continue to get better and we'll get over this - no doubt."

One player who perhaps deserves to be a little more "pissed" after the Dolphins game is CeeDee Lamb

Dak

After starting the game in blistering form as he hauled in three catches for 93 yards and a touchdown in the first quarter and a half, he didn't see a single target through the second and third quarters.

Coach Mike McCarthy stated that Lamb is a "featured component" of the offense despite going missing. What are Dak's thoughts as to why his best offensive weapon wasn't used?

“I think a lot of factors played into that, Prescott said. “They got the rush going a little bit, getting me off the spot, obviously we talked about them clouding the coverage to CeeDee putting more people to his side, wasn't giving us quite as favorable looks as they were early in the game."

Lamb would then pop up in the fourth quarter as he converted a third and fourth down as the Cowboys took the lead late before the Dolphins marched down the field and kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired.

The 10-5 Cowboys are "pissed" about losing consecutive games and now face an 12-4 Lions team full of confidence. But Dallas, in the luxurious confines of AT&T Stadium will be just as confident and will look to channel their "pissed" attitude into something productive.
