Cowboys' Prescott Second-Best NFL QB Behind Only Mahomes? Dak's Brother's Top 10 Rankings

Dallas Cowboys' Prescott Second-Best NFL QB Behind Only Patrick Mahomes? Dak's Brother's Top 10 Rankings

FRISCO - We have tsk-tsked Tad Prescott often for his ill-advised decisions to insert himself into assorted Dallas Cowboys storylines - especially when he rips the team in a way that unintentionally does his brother a disservice.

That doesn't mean, of course, that Tad has to be fully rational when it comes to his fandom ... or the support of his MVP brother.

And so Tad is listing his "Top 10 NFL Quarterbacks'' in a media interview (because why shouldn't players' relatives do interviews!?) ... and his No. 1 pick is obvious to the world ...

And Tad's No. 2 pick is obvious to Tad.

Here's how Tad ranks 'em (and in fairness, he's sort of doing this in an impromptu manner) ...

dak and tad

Patrick Mahomes

Dak Prescott

Lamar Jackson

Josh Allen

Aaron Rodgers

Joe Burrow

Tua Tagovailoa

Jared Goff

Matthew Stafford

Joe Flacco

Tad was also asked about Jalen Hurts,  but quipped that this list is "quarterbacks, not running backs."

Full-circle moment: What Tad just did in ripping the Philadelphia Eagles QB - funny as it is - just created bulletin-board material for Dallas' greatest rival. And so Tad has once again inserted himself into a storyline in which he should really have no part.

Tad, in the parlance, just used his mouth to write a check that his butt cannot cash. ... leaving Dak and his Cowboys now, in a sense, to have to deal with and back up the words ...

Of somebody's brother.

Tad commonly tweets negatively about "the drama in Dallas'' without realizing that his stir-it-up presence is one of the greatest social-media-related causes of that very "drama.''

Maybe it should all be taken in stride and taken as fun and as conversational fodder. Maybe Cowboys opponents pay no attention to Dak's brother and maybe Dak's teammates in the locker room do the same.

So let the debates rage: Dak is the second-best QB in the NFL? Oh, and once we figure that one out ... Joe Flacco is the No. 10 QB in the NFL?
