BREAKING: Tony Pollard Makes Free-Agent Contract Decision; Leaving Cowboys?

In this story:
For the second time in two offseasons the Dallas Cowboys have let their No. 1 running back walk into free agency ... and off the roster.
Last year it was Ezekiel Elliott. Monday it is Tony Pollard, who according to multiple reports, is expected to leave Dallas and sign a three-year, $24 million free-agent contract with the Tennessee Titans.
The Cowboys were interested in retaining the running back via a "Pollard Plan," but apparently were out-bid by the Titans.
The departure of Pollard leaves on the running back depth chart only Rico Dowdle, Malik Davis, Deuce Vaughn, Hunter Luepke and Snoop Conner. In other words, the Cowboys are officially in the market for a feature back in 2024 and will likely make the position a priority in next month's NFL Draft or perhaps kick the tires on a free-agent deal with the likes of Saquon Barkley or or Aaron Jones or Derrick Henry or ... even Elliott?
For financial reasons, the Cowboys decided Ezekiel Elliott was done. They were wrong, as - at only 28 - he produced a decent season behind a horrendous line and on a inept offense with the New England Patriots. About to be a free agent next week, maybe he returns?
'The Hammer!' Here's Why Cowboys Need to Sign Henry
Counted on to be a young, cheaper Zeke, Pollard disappointed in his solo spotlight in 2023. He had one just 100-yard game and the Cowboys rushed for almost 20 yards less per game in 2023 with him than in 2022 with Elliott.
Dallas put the franchise tag on Pollard a year ago, but him and his $10 million, one-year salary are now reportedly leaving for Nashville.
