FRISCO - The Cowboys travel north to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Eagles in a game to help decide NFC East supremacy. Dallas has won its last two and three of four, with the only two hiccups of the season coming at the hands of Arizona and San Francisco.

Philadelphia has just one failure on its schedule this season, curiously to the New York Jets, but has shown signs of weakness against the Commanders last week. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been hobbled by a bad knee, to the point that he's been seen wearing a brace.

But even with Hurts "hurting" (pun intended), Philly still boasts one of - if not the most- dangerous players in the league in wideout A.J. Brown.

Brown had one of the greatest touchdown catches of the season against Washington last week, a one-handed circus grab that helped secure the come-from-behind victory for the Eagles.

“His contested catches jump off the chart,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said. “He has an excellent catch radius, obviously has a great understanding and connection with the quarterback. If I was going to highlight one thing about him, I’d say it’s his ability to make the contested catch.”

Meanwhile, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said on Friday that Dallas’ top injury issue - Tyron Smith (neck) - went through the “mock game” (walkthrough) on this morning.

“He’s projected to practice (Saturday),” the coach said. “When we walk off the field, we’ll make that (status) decision.”

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has found somewhat of a hot streak since the loss to the 49ers. In two games since, Prescott has thrown two touchdowns while running for an additional one and tossed just one interception while throwing for 576 yards.

A win for either team would make a statement to the other about where things are headed for the NFC East.
