Is the Dallas Cowboys' worst offseason move this year ... the lack of one? That's what Pro Football Focus thinks as they've graded the best and worst offseason moves for each NFL team this year.

The Cowboys are certainly to be applauded for moves this offseason, a year that seems to be an outlier from recent ones where America's Team made little to no moves at all.

But this year, Dallas qualifies as having made the proverbial "splash" with offseason moves.

Some were slightly under the radar, like the reworking of Tyron Smith's contract that allowed more cap room to sign free agents and gave the team an out if his injury trend continues.

The Cowboys also re-signed key defensive pieces like Donovan Wilson, Leighton Vander Esch, Johnathan Hankins, and Dante Fowler to team-friendly deals.

The biggest additions in free agency came with the additions of corner Stephon Gilmore and receiver Brandin Cooks, both through very team-friendly trades.

And those trades are what PFF considered to be the best offseason move by the Cowboys.

The worst?

Prepare yourself, it's a head-scratcher.

PFF says the worst move the Cowboys made this offseason is not adding youth to the roster:

"Dallas did well to retain internal free agents, including an exciting young player in safety Donovan Wilson, but most of their re-signings are closer to 30 years old, as were their two trade acquisitions. A little injection of youth could’ve been nice, though Dallas tends to draft well and still has a pick in all seven rounds to do so even after acquiring Cooks and Gilmore."

It sounds like a complete reach. A team that's admitted to being all-in on winning now didn't add inexperience to its roster?

Typically adding youth and inexperience to a roster can handcuff a team at certain positions. Dallas chose not to do that.

So the Cowboys' worst move this offseason is also something that will likely help them win games.

Dallas fans can rest easy knowing - even before the draft - the Cowboys have already won the offseason.
