Giants at Cowboys final Injury Report: Zeke will play; Zack remains ‘limited’

FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys has issued their final injury report of the week ... and Friday brings familiar news for All-Pro right guard Zack Martin.
It is hoped that Martin's back is on the way to healing up in time for Sunday and the Week 1 visit to AT&T Stadium of the New York Giants. Nevertheless, he remains on the injury list, as he has been all week, labeled as “limited.”
Martin, maybe the NFL's best player at his position, has been nursing a sore back (disk-related) since just before we left training camp in Oxnard. He is hopefully not subject to the 'tapping the brakes' idea I suggest on some other Cowboys who you see pop up on the Injury Report ... and if he's ready to go, one of the NFL's most honored offensive lines should be ready to do the same ahead of Dallas' big-name backfield.
Speaking of which ...
“He had a good practice Wednesday, was able to go out there and do what we asked him to do yesterday,” Cowboy coach Jason Garrett said of Ezekiel Elliott. “He’s making progress as the week goes on.”
The Cowboys will have to make a move Saturday to get Elliott on the 53-man roster; they have an exemption for the running back for now. I'm told the club is considering a handful of possibilities, including the release of Alfred Morris or O-lineman Brandon Knight ... or maybe even a "minor'' trade.
On Wednesday came great news when it comes to Dallas' health. Big names and great news. Read that breakdown, starting with the availability of newly-signed Ezekiel Elliott, here.) On Thursday? All good, but with Martin still "limited. And now? As you jump Inside this Video FISH REPORT to discuss all the names ... and what the coaching staff (and in some cases, the players) are saying about their status for Sunday. ...
Cowboys Nation can keep its fingers crossed on Zack Martin's availability.
