Taco Charlton 1-on-1: ‘Yes, I’m (inactive) this week for Cowboys,’ who might be up for a coming trade

FRISCO - We suggested on Friday’s Fish Report on 105.3 The Fan that Taco Charlton might not make the 46-man active roster for the Cowboys vs. the Giants on Sunday. It looks like Taco himself is now hearing the same thing.
“Yes,” Charlton tells me moments after a provocative Saturday morning tweet. “I’m down for tomorrow’s game.”
“Down” is of course football talk for not being “up” on the 46-man roster. This is indeed what Taco was trying to tell Cowboys Nation with this tweet:
Dallas does have depth at defensive end, especially with Tank Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford ready to start on Sunday in Week 1. So the former first-rounder Charlton - who has a fine preseason - is going to have to wait his turn ... or maybe wait on something I’ve been saying for five months, Taco is also aware of trade possibilities here. ... and I'm aware that they exist.
Maybe that would be the ultimate solution for the Cowboys (sell high, relatively speaking) and for the player (a fresh start with a new club.)
'I'll be good,'' Taco tells me. "Everything is going to be OK.'
