'We Dem Boyz!' Dolphins Troll Cowboys With Wiz Khalifa Hit Following Nail-Biting Finish

'We Dem Boyz!' Miami Dolphins troll Dallas Cowboys with Wiz Khalifa hit following nail-biting finish.

Following Sunday afternoon's 22-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins, some salt was added to the Dallas Cowboys' fresh wounds, and it came from the hands of a familiar song.

"We Dem Boyz" by Wiz Khalifa has been used as an unofficial anthem for Cowboys players and fans alike since its release in 2014, and that's the exact song the Dolphins used to celebrate their win on Sunday in the locker room.

That stings in a multitude of aspects for Dallas. For one, its hopes of an NFC East title took yet another hit with the late loss, its second in as many weeks. The Dolphins also clinched a playoff spot with the win, and while the Cowboys are also guaranteed a spot in the postseason, Sunday marked yet another disappointing road result, continuing the "Jekyll and Hyde" campaign for Dallas away from home.

So far this season, the Cowboys are 7-0 at home and 3-5 on the road, counting Sunday's loss. Dallas has now lost back-to-back games for the first time this year, both of which came on the road against AFC playoff contenders.

At home, it's a completely different story where Dallas seems to truly be "Dem Boyz" and almost untouchable, but on the road, the story turns. In Week 16, the Dolphins claimed that title, and they celebrated accordingly.

Following the tight loss, Dallas QB Dak Prescott again acknowledged the road/home discrepancy ... and again sort of dismissed it.

“The confidence is high with this group,'' he said of his 10-5 team. We understand that we can (defeat quality teams on on the road) … and we will.”

Songs have a tendency to remind people of places and times in the past, producing a longing for "home" and familiar surroundings. Hearing that tune on Sunday likely reminds the Cowboys of the friendly confines of AT&T Stadium, and if this week's game had taken place in Arlington, perhaps the result would have been different.

Then again, maybe the energy of "Dem Boyz" has a tendency to remain in the Lone Star State and not hit the road when Dallas does. It's now up to the Cowboys to find a way to make that energy travel because, if they can't, their guaranteed postseason berth may be short-lived.
