New York Giants Injury Report: All Give It a Go

Here's the latest on the injured Giants as they begin their preparation for their Monday night game against Seattle.

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that everyone on the team is expected to be on the practice field as the Giants begin preparing for their Monday Night game against Seattle.

Whether that means everyone will practice or some will work on the side with trainers remains to be seen.

Running back Saquon Barkley, who is recovering from what he revealed to be a high ankle sprain, will be among those who will try to practice in some capacity. Barkley, who was held out of Thursday's game last week, is probably 50-50 to make his return this week, what with the Giants having another quick turnaround the following week in which they'll have to hit the road on Saturday for a game against Miami on Sunday.

Barkley was injured in the last minute and a half of the team's come-from-behind Week 2 win over the Arizona Cardinals when his right foot got caught underneath a pile and twisted the wrong way.

Daboll told reporters a couple of days later that the running back was feeling a lot better to where he wasn't ruling Barkley out of the team's Week 3 game against the 49ers, but in the end, the Giants held Barkley out.

Barkley was listed as a limited practice participant.

In other Giants injury news, left tackle Andrew Thomas (hamstring) continues to work his way back from a hamstring strain. There is growing optimism that Thomas, who pulled his hamstring in Week 1 while chasing down a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown against the Cowboys, will be ready to return for Monday night's game after missing the last two games. He had been replaced in the lineup by Joshua Ezeudu

Thomas was listed as a limited participant.

Left guard Ben Bredeson (concussion) is in the final stages of the league protocol, per Daboll,  and is trending toward being cleared by an independent neurological consultant. Mark Glowinski had been filling in for Bredeson during his one-game absence last week.

Bredeson took his full practice reps on Thursday.

Outside linebacker Azeez Ojualri (hamstring) is getting better and has made a lot of progress, he told us. Ojulari was injured in a one-on-one pass-blocking drill in practice leading up to the Giant's Week 2 game against the Cardinals and hasn't been able to go since. The Giants' second-round pick in the 2021 draft has missed 12 of the last 18 regular season games with lower body injuries. He was listed as limited.

Cornerback Deonte Banks (arm) was not included on the injury report; however, tight end Daniel Belligner (neck) was included and was a limited participant. Defensive tackle D.J. Davidson (elbow) was listed as a limited participant as well.
