New York Giants Week 2 Inactives: Andrew Thomas, Azeez Ojulari OUT

In this story:
As expected, the New York Giants will be without left tackle Andrew Thomas and outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari for their Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Both Thomas and Ojulari have been dealing with hamstring strains, Thomas's suffered in last week's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, and Ojulari's suffered in Wednesday's practice during a one-on-one pass-blocking drill.
Thomas, listed as questionable, had been a limited participant in practice Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday's session.
"He said he feels a little bit better," head coach Brian Daboll said of Thomas on Friday before the team practiced. "I think it's unfair to give you an answer right now because they’ve got to go out there and move around and do things."
The Giants have been working Matt Peart, who, despite having an elbow issue that landed him on the injury report, did not receive an injury designation, and Joshua Ezeudu at left tackle.
"That’s why we’ve done a bunch of stuff, whether it was training camp, OTAs--move guys around," Daboll said. "The guys that aren't necessarily the starters have to be able to play multiple spots.
"You give the guys the reps that they need. Again, there’s a buildup, too, of having reps at certain spots throughout whatever it was, OTAs, training camp, last year, whatever it may be. There’s time on task with it."
Peart relieved Thomas after he could no longer attend last week's game. Ezeudu, who played tackle at North Carolina, relieved him at left tackle. Ezeudu is expected to get the start at left tackle after playing well in limited snaps last week at the spot.
Ojulari's soft tissue injury woes have continued. Last year, he missed ten games due to a calf issue. He sought to improve his flexibility this off-season by engaging in more yoga, stretching, and Pilates work. Still, he's back on the injury report with a soft tissue ailment that could keep him out of Thursday's Week 3 game against the 49ers.
Other Giants Scratches
In addition to Thomas and Ojulari, receiver Wan'Dale Robinson, defensive backs Darnay Holmes and Gervarrius Owens, defensive lineman Jordon Riley, and tight end Lawrence Cager are inactive for the Giants.
Robinson, who continues his ramp-up after being on PUP all summer while rehabbing from a torn ACL, was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report. Owens is dealing with a hamstring issue that kept him out of last week's regular-season opener.
Cager, Holmes, and Riley are all healthy scratches.
Cardinals Inactives/Lineup Changes
Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker headlines the Cardinals' inactive report. Baker was added to the Arizona injury list Friday with a hamstring issue, the severity of which is unknown. He was listed as questionable for the game.
The rest of the Cardnals inactive list includes linebacker Josh Woods (ankle), declared out by the team on Friday, defensive lineman Leki Fotu (shoulder), cornerback Starling Thomas V, offensive lineman Carter O'Donnell, offensive lineman Ilm Manning, and tight end Elijah Higgins.
Defensive lineman L.J. Collier (biceps) was placed on injured reserve on Friday.
