The New York Giants might have been able to keep their coordinators, but such has not been the case with keeping some of their assistant coaches, two of whom have now departed the team to join new Colts head coach Shane Steichen's staff.

Assistant offensive line coach Tony Sparano Jr will be joining Steichen's staff as their new offensive line coach. The news was first reported on SiriusXM NFL radio during an interview by Alex Marvez with Giants general manager Joe Schoen over the weekend. Sparano will join former Giants running backs coach DeAndre Smith, who took the same position with the Colts.

The Colts have not yet announced the additions of Smith and Sparano, both of whom were still listed on the Giants website as of February 27.

A third assistant, Nick Williams, who had served as the Giants' special teams quality control coach for three seasons, including two under Joe Judge and one under Daboll, was not retained by the team.
