As the NFL calendar turns to summer training camp, sprinkled throughout the league are potential holdouts unhappy with their contract statuses, such as New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs.

It turns out that these two franchise-tagged running backs aren't the only ones who are thought to be planning to skip summer training camp, as word comes out of Dallas that Zack Martin, the Cowboys' all-Pro guard, is also contemplating skipping training camp due to being unhappy with his contract.

According to the ESPN report, Martin believes he is “woefully underpaid relative to the market." According to Over the Cap, Martin, listed as a right guard, is due to count for $11.04 million against this year's cap, putting him fourth behind Wyatt tEller of the Browns ($15.246 million), Chris Lindstrom of the Falcons ($13.702 million), and James Daniels of the Steelers ($11.166 million).

Because Martin is under contract, skipping camp could result in a fine of $50,000 per day.

But for those Giants fans who are hoping that not only does Martin make good on his threat to sit out camp but also the start of the season--the Cowboys and Giants face each other in Week 1 on Sunday Night Football--the chances of the latter happening are slim unless Martin follows through and misses the entire camp.

Chances are that if Martin does sit out, he'll do what it's believed Brkley and Jacobs, both of whom have not yet signed the franchise tag and thus cannot be fined by their respective clubs, will skip the preseason games and show up toward the back end of camp to get ready for the season.
