New York Giants Week 11 Injury Report: Encouraging News

In this story:
The New York Giants have declared tight end Daniel Bellinger (eye) OUT and offensive tackle Evan Neal (knee) as DOUBTFUL for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Receivers Kenny Golladay (hamstring) and Wan'Dale Robinson (hamstring), offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu (neck), defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence (back), and safety Dane Belton (clavicle) are all listed as questionable. Of those, Golladay, Ezeudu, Lawrence, and Belton should be good to go. Robinson's status still needs further clarification.
Kicker Graham Gano (illness) was added to the injury report on Friday after missing practice, but he did not receive an injury designation. Also not receiving an injury designation despite being on the injury report earlier in the week are outside linebackers Kayvon Thibodeaux (illness) and Jihad Ward (thumb).
Head coach Brian Daboll also sounded optimistic about offensive lineman Shane Lemieux, on whom a decision must be made by next week. Lemieux started the season on injured reserve with a toe/foot injury and was designated to return two weeks ago. Daboll said the youngster had a better week of practice this week than he did the week prior. "I think if we need him to be ready to go, he'll be ready to go," Daboll said.
The Giants have until 4 p.m. ET Saturday to bring Lemieux up for Sunday's home game against the Lions.

Thursday Injury Report
Well, it was nice while it lasted.
The New York Giants downgraded receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (hamstring) on the injury report and added rookie offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu (neck) to the list. Neither player practiced Thursday.
Head coach Brian Daboll said that Robinson, who was limited on Wednesday, tightened up overnight, so the decision was made to hold him out of practice Thursday. Moreover, it would seem that Robinson's status for Sunday against the Lions becomes cloudy, given the tricky nature of hamstrings.
The Ezeudu injury is new and could open the door for either Nick Gates or Shane Lemieux to get the start if the rookie isn't ready to play Sunday. Gates is already on the 53-man roster and has been seeing a gradual increase in his snaps over the last two games.
Lemieux, who was supposed to be the starting left guard, has been on injured reserve since the start of the season due to turf toe and foot ailment that reportedly required surgery. He was recently designated to return off injured reserve, his 21-day window beginning November 7. The Giants have been ramping Lemieux up in the hopes he can come back off the injured reserve list.
Rookie outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux (illness), who missed Wednesday's practice, was back Thursday on a limited basis. Defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence II (back/rest day) was also back at practice but was a limited participant.
In other injury news, it is unlikely that offensive tackle Evan Neal will be ready for Sunday's game. The hope is that Neal will be ready for the team's Week 12 game against Dallas on Thanksgiving.
Here is the full injury report from Thursday. Bold denotes a change from Wednesday's report.

Wednesday Injury Report
The New York Giants are relatively healthy to start the new work week ahead of their game Sunday against the Lions.
Head coach Brian Daboll said that defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence (workload management), outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux (illness), and tight end Daniel Bellinger (eye) are among those who weren't going to practice Wednesday. Of those, only BEliinger isn't expected to be available for Sunday's home game.
Offensive tackle Evan Neal (knee), outside linebacker Jihad Ward (thumb), and safety Dane Belton (clavicle) are among those who will be limited on Wednesday. There is hope that Neal will be ready to go by the Giants' game at Dallas on Thanksgiving.
Receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring), who made his return last week from a knee injury, was back on the injury report with a hamstring ailment and was listed as limited. Joining him was fellow receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (hamstring).
Outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari (calf) has another week to go before he can be designated to return from injured reserve.
