No Visit Planned (Yet) Between Giants and LB Anthony Barr (Update)

In this story:
New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen told reporters in Detroit that Anthony Barr, who was reportedly set to visit the Giants in the coming days, isn't coming in just yet.
Schoen, according to a revised report by NJ Advance Media, hasn't ruled out having Barr, a four-time Pro Bowler, in for a visit. But no such visit had been scheduled as of Wednesday.
The Giants would like to continue evaluating what they have at inside linebacker. Yesterday, NFL insider Josina Anderson reported that Barr might be looking to visit with the Giants before making any decisions regarding signing with the Saints, who reportedly have an offer on the table for him.
Barr has received interest from the Saints, so much so that he's already taken a physical for the team, which is usually the last step before a player is signed. But apparently, Barr wants to explore all his options before signing with a team.
Barr, 31, was a first-round draft pick by the Vikings in 2014 (ninth overall) and played with them through the 2021 season before spending last year with the Cowboys, for whom he had 58 tackles, including two for loss, a sack, and seven pressures, to go along with two fumble recoveries in 14 games.
Barr was voted to the Pro Bowl four years in a row (2015-2018). He's appeared in 112 regular-season games with 108 starts and has 553 tackles, 41 tackles for loss, 32 pass breakups, and 48 quarterback hits in 348 defensive snaps.
He missed most of the 2020 season with a torn pectoral muscle suffered in Week 2 and battles through knee issues in 2021, his final season with the Vikings.
The Saints had hoped to sign Barr after losing linebacker Andrew Dowell to a season-ending knee injury last week.
