"We can’t keep coming out here and going 0-2"

Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins wasn't necessarily absolving himself from the Giants latest debacle, a 28-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills Sunday.

But Jenkins made little attempt to hide his growing frustration with the fact that the Giants have now three times started the season 0-2.

“It’s the NFL, baby,” Jenkins said. “We’ve got jobs on the line, we’ve got families you’ve got to feed. We can’t keep coming out here and going 0-2. No. We can’t keep doing that.”

Despite their struggles, the Giants have preached patience to the media and their increasingly frustrated fan base. But it sure sounds like that patience has worn thin in Jenkins' corner of the locker room at least.

"Yeah, I’m angry,” Jenkins said. “It’s what, my second year going 0-2? Third in a row. I’m on Year 8. I need to get somewhere. I’m trying to win something.”

The Giants defense has now allowed nine touchdown drives to opponents this season, each at minimum 70 yards.

Last week, the Giants allowed the Cowboys to score on five consecutive drives; this week, the Bills scored 21 unanswered points on three straight drives.

If there was any good news, it was that the Giants got a few plays here and there to give them hope as TJ Jones' 4-yard touchdown pass from Eli Manning made it a 7-point game with 11:56 left in the game.

But Jenkins, who was flagged for a costly penalty int he fourth quarter that gave the Bills new life on their final scoring drive and who was also beaten by receiver John Brown on tht same drive, didn't sound too impressed.

“We don’t need bright spots,” Jenkins said. “We need spots all day, bright all day every day. Everybody has to come to play football.”
