5 Takeaways From Matt Patricia's Media Session

The Lions have started their prep work for their divisional rival Green Bay Packers.
Detroit head man Matt Patricia addressed the media Wednesday regarding the status of rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson, the play of Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers and what it means to him to play at historic Lambeau Field.
Here are 5 takeaways from Wednesday's media session:
T.J. Hockenson practices
After suffering a concussion against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4, Hockenson is still in concussion protocol.
He took the field for practice on Wednesday.
In order for Hockenson to be released from concussion protocol, one of the final stages is for the first-year pro to practice symptom-free.
Matt Patricia is fond of Lambeau Field
Patricia was asked what makes Lambeau Field so special.
"You feel it when you walk into the stadium," Patricia said. "Just kind of having that sense of the history of the game. They're the third-oldest franchise in the NFL right now. Pretty great to walk into a rivalry we have, (between) the two organizations. It is super cool. If you love the game and the history of the game, that's where you want to be. You just have that feeling."
The Packers' secondary is playing well to start the season
Adrian Amos is a safety that has caught the attention of the Lions' coaching staff.
"Amos is playing at a really good level," Patricia said. "His recognition at the back-end has improved a lot. He can play aggressive. He can tackle extremely well. His communication and his awareness in the back-end, in combination with (Jaire) Alexander and (Kevin) King on the edge, those guys are doing a really good job. Those guys are all on the same page. They are at a really high level."
The Lions' defense is preparing for the possibility of Packers receiver Davante Adams playing Monday
Last week against the Dallas Cowboys, Adams did not suit up for the Pack.
The Packers were still able to rack up 34 points against the Cowboys' defense, though.
Adams is a reliable weapon for Rodgers. If he's not available, the Lions would view that as a major bonus.
No Damon Harrison at Lions practice today, but everyone else is accounted for. T.J. Hockenson (concussion) was doing everything in individual, Quandre Diggs (hamstring) much more limited.

Patricia on Rodgers
Earlier this week, Patricia expressed that Rodgers' competitiveness made him nervous while preparing for Monday's contest with the Pack.
He was also very complimentary of the future Hall of Famer.
"One of the fiercest competitors (Rodgers) with just this calmness about him," Patricia commented. "He is unfazed by so many things happening around him. He is doing a great job on all the free plays that he is getting. That is really hard to execute. He gets guys to jump. He is converting them into touchdowns. Through the progression of the year, he looks much more comfortable and calm."
